Anti-wrinkle Face Cream
By Steve Valentino

The anti-wrinkle face cream deals with wrinkles along the forehead and laugh lines and at the same time deals with age spots. This type of wrinkle cream reduces crease lines and sagging of the skin due to aging and other factors such as pollution and stress. These also contain active ingredients such as antioxidants that protect the skin and keep pollutants and dirt from penetrating the skin through pores. Collagen, which is responsible for giving the skin a youthful glow, is also a major component that works by tightening the skin and reducing the prominence of wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle creams do not just work as a means of reducing or eliminating facial creases. Most creams are also used to prevent the appearance of wrinkles due to aging by removing dead skin cells in order to reveal the younger skin beneath.

Anti-wrinkle face creams are usually applied early in the morning after a bath and at night before going to sleep and, for best results, are typically designed to be used with other products such as astringents, moisturizers and day creams that are also endorsed by the product's manufacturer. Like most facial products, anti-wrinkle face creams are tested for side effects and come with instructions for use.

Knowing what to look for in an anti-wrinkle face cream is important, since there are so many out there to choose from. A little research will not only ensure that you get the results that you want but also assure you that you are getting your money's worth. Consult your dermatologist about selecting a product you think will be best for your skin.

Cleanse and Rejuvenate Your Skin With these Easy to Make Facial Exfoliant Recipes
By Biljana Drake

Do you have five minutes a week you could spare? Then, try out these facial exfoliant recipes. All of them are extremely effective and affordable.

Not only do they cleanse your skin, slough off dead skin cells, and penetrate the clogged pores, they contain other ingredients to help your skin look and feel better.

An egg white will help firm the skin, and honey will act as an anti-inflammatory agent that prevents further infections and inflammations.

Milk will add its enzymes and leave your skin smooth and soft.

Lemon juice will remove the excess oil and help reduce the large pores on your face.

Corn flour based facial scrub

When used as a base to make facial masks, corn flour is an excellent ingredient if you're dealing with oily skin. Corn flour picks up oil from the skin and traps it, leaving the skin moisturized but with diminished oiliness and shine free.

This mask is extremely easy to make.

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons of corn flour

1 egg white

Mix this two and apply on the face. Wash off after 15 minutes or until dry. While washing, use circular motion so that you can exfoliate the skin and help the circulation of its deeper layers. First apply warm and then cold water.

Yogurt based Face Cleanser

Ingredients:

About 7oz of yogurt

1 tablepoon of lemon juice

1 tablespoon of honey

Mix, apply to face and rinse off using a washcloth.

Yogurt based Kosher Salt Face Exfoliant

This is an easy and inexpensive way to perform pore cleansing and remove the dead skin cells off your face.

Ingredients:

Kosher salt

3 teaspoons of coconut oil

Yogurt

Milk

Add salt and coconut oil until a paste forms. Put the paste on the face. Be careful not to scratch yourself, don't press to hard. When you are done, rinse off with luke warm water.

Mix a bit of yogurt and milk and apply to face. After exfoliating it with salt, milk will provide nourishment and softening your face needs.

Honey Based Face Scrub

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon of honey

2 teaspoons of finely ground almonds (not salted ones, just regular)

1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice

Gently rub the face, don't press too hard, you'll scratch yourself :)

Body Moisturizer

Winter in, Dry Skin out!
By Chelle Murphy

Why does your skin become drier during the winter months? Because many of us are exposed to factors that cause us to lose moisture, including the soaps that we used on a daily basis.

Take fewer showers

Dermatologists recommend that we limit the number of showers or baths that we take. For those of us who simply must bathe frequently, try spending a little less time in the tub/shower.

While many of us like a hot shower, try adjusting the water temperature. Make it warm, rather than hot. The hotter the water, the more it depletes your skin and hair of natural moisture. Try switching to gentle cleansers, ones that do not contain a lot of harsh chemicals: Aveeno, Dove, Nuetrogena, or Tea Tree Gel Therapeutic Body Moisturizer.

Lay it on thick!

If you’re like me, then you don’t care for the feel of thick, heavy, greasy moisturizers. But, let’s face it, they work best. If you cannot tolerate the heavy stuff, then you might want to mix it with a lighter lotion, but make sure to avoid products containing alcohol. It’s best if you apply your moisturizer right after bathing.

Don’t forget to drink lots of water, at least 8 fluid ounces per day and add a humidifier to your arsenal, especially if your house has forced-air heating.
